PERSONAL TRAINER. MODULE I


This module is designed for fitness trainers, group instructors, and health professionals who wish to develop foundational personal training skills. Participants will learn to conduct safe and effective personal training sessions in various environments, including gyms, outdoor areas, and home settings. The focus is on practical application of exercise science, client assessment, training planning, and instruction.

Participants will gain knowledge of exercise physiology, training structure, warm-up and cool-down methodology, and health and safety principles. Practical skills include circuit training, partner work, use of basic gym equipment, and suspension straps. The module also emphasizes the role of the fitness instructor, including client engagement, communication, and professional responsibilities.


Education ,,Personal Trainer” will conduct a professional personal trainer Tadas Pocius.

The workshop is intended for all fitness trainers, groups instructors, health professionals who want to learn how to engage personally with clients and help them to achieve maximum in short term. During the workshop you will gain the necessary practical and theoretical knowledge as a personal trainer.

Seminar Schedule:

Registration: 09:30 – 10:00 (Saturday)
Duration: Saturday: 10:00 – 17:00, Sunday: 09:00 – 16:00
Lunch Break: 13:00 – 14:00

PROGRAMME:

  1. Training structure and concept – goals and objectives.

  2. Exercise physiology and application.

  3. Warm-up, cool-down, and stretching methodology – importance of specific routines.

  4. Health & Safety – space management, observation, and risk minimization.

  5. Practical skills – circuit training principles and partner work.

  6. Introductory training methodology and session planning.

  7. Introduction to basic gym equipment and exercise techniques – gym session structure.

  8. Introduction to suspension straps – exercise technique, analysis, and partner work.

  9. The role of the fitness instructor – professional responsibilities and client engagement.

Target Audience:
Fitness trainers, group instructors, and health professionals seeking to enhance their personal training skills and client engagement.

Assessment Method:
Participants are assessed through a combination of:

  • Practical evaluations during live seminars, observing exercise instruction, technique demonstration, and client interaction.

  • Theoretical assessments via online or written tests covering exercise physiology, training methodology, and Health & Safety principles.
