Polestar® Pilates Mat PROPS

This course is intended for trainers who are already familiar with Polestar® Pilates exercises on the mat, have completed the Polestar MAT training, the Comprehensive Studio course or completed 3 or more Comprehensive Studio modules and want to deepen and expand their professional skills, get new ideas and tools for work.

The popularity of Pilates classes in Lithuania and the world has not been waning for over a decade. Small pilates equipment – even more interesting and effective training. Many people liked this training method and were able to see the benefits of this system: it not only strengthens the body, improves posture, but also reduces or prevents pain during exercises. In order to maintain motivation, interest and increase the attractiveness of training, it is very important to constantly look for new ways to diversify training. Training with different equipment not only recruits different muscle groups, but also makes exercise more interesting, efficient and fun.

In some cases, it complicates the exercise by provoking balance, center control, or increasing the work of one part of the body, and in some cases, it makes the exercise significantly easier – by providing support, support, and also helps to better understand the body.

In this course, we will work with the following equipment: elastic band, roller, small ball (Pilates Ball), big ball (Fitball), isotonic ring.

In the seminar, we will learn how, with the help of small equipment, you can diversify training, make it more interesting and richer, by making the exercises more difficult or just easier. We will think about how to use the small equipment in personal training, so that the exercises can be modified as effectively as possible, taking into account the individual characteristics or limitations of the client. Pilates Props are also suitable for those who do not have the big Pilates equipment, and with the help of various accessories: balls, rings, elastic bands, rollers, you will be able to offer the client an effective and varied program.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate all of the Polestar Pilates exercises covered in this course.

• Demonstrate the ability to use accessories: ball (large and small), elastic band, isotonic ring, roller.

• Demonstrate ability to perform and teach exercises in each category using small equipment.

• Correctly identify the most important principles of movement for each exercise with props.

• Plan and conduct a 60-minute lesson using small equipment.

• Modify mat exercises using different equipment based on the client’s physical condition, needs and characteristics.

Polestar® Pilates listener certificates will be issued to workshop participants after the course. The program is registered in the medical electronic improvement administration system METAS. Certifications are good for physical therapists, renewing and obtaining licenses. Suitable for trainers and other health professionals as professional development.

The seminar is intended for kinesitherapists, physical activity specialists.
