PERSONAL TRAINER. MODULE II

This module is designed for fitness professionals and personal trainers who want to develop expertise in functional training. Functional training focuses on real-life movement patterns and integrates strength, endurance, stability, and mobility. Participants will learn to instruct safe and effective exercises, analyze movement patterns, and adapt exercises to individual client needs and abilities.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the principles and benefits of functional training.
  • Analyze movement patterns and evaluate exercise technique.
  • Teach safe and effective functional exercises, including bodyweight exercises.
  • Apply exercise modifications, regressions, and progressions for individual and group clients.
  • Integrate stability, mobility, strength, and endurance components into functional sessions.

Target Audience:
Personal trainers, fitness instructors, and advanced clients seeking specialized functional training knowledge.

Workshop will be held in the Lithuanian language.

Time of the seminar: Registration: 9:30-10:00 a.m. Seminar 10:00-17:00. Lunch break 13:00-14:00.

Location: Movement LAB sports studio, Vytenios str. 51

Programme:

  1. Human movement – characteristics and training differences.

  2. Functional training concept and principles

  3. Movement safety and effectiveness – safe and effective exercises

  4. Movement patterns – analysis and exercise technique

  5. Exercise modifications – regressions and progressions

  6. Basic bodyweight exercises and proper technique

  7. Exercise physiology – stability and mobility

  8. Practical skills – group work and execution of practical tasks

Assessment Method:
Participants are assessed through practical evaluations during the workshop to demonstrate exercise instruction, movement analysis, and client adaptation skills. Theoretical understanding is assessed via online quizzes or written tests covering functional training principles, exercise physiology, and safety.
