This module equips participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to plan, deliver, and evaluate safe and effective strength-based group fitness sessions. Emphasis is placed on resistance training principles, exercise technique, safe use of equipment, and adapting sessions to participants’ fitness levels.
Participants will learn about muscle function, movement planes, and proper execution of basic strength exercises. Regressions and progressions are covered to tailor exercises for different abilities. Practical work includes the use of various equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, elastic bands, and suspension straps.
Learners will explore class design and delivery methods, including performing strength exercises to music . Group exercises and practical activities provide opportunities for individualized guidance, observation, and correction.
By the end of the module, participants will be able to deliver structured strength training sessions safely, adapt exercises for diverse fitness levels, and provide clear cues and corrective feedback to participants.
