Pilates Choreography – combining the grace, dynamics and power of movement into one whole, using the most important principles of Pilates methodology: control, breathing, plasticity, activating the muscles of the centre of the body. Gain new skills in Joanna’s Pilates class!
Pilates MiniBall Flow is a dynamic Pilates workout that focuses on correct posture and the integration of the whole body into each movement. Joana uses a small ball in the traditional way and adds her own creative twist. This tool is used to teach Pilates exercises not only to challenge stability and control, but also to provide proprioceptive feedback during movements. The class will begin with an awakening flow of standing movements using elements of Barre and Ballet, before moving on to fun variations of mat exercises that will train the whole body.
Functional Body Tone – Joana believes that fun, dynamic movement, music and action are the most important elements of group exercise. This workout is set to music, breaking down compound movements into 16-beat sequences and 32-beat blocks, using small tools such as dumbbells, weight plates, barbells or resistance bands. The movements, performed to music, integrate functional elements of upper and lower body strengthening and toning. Effective strength training using compound movements and movement to rhythm has a powerful effect on your cardiovascular system and endurance. The workout is divided into 3-4 parts with different routines designed to train the whole body. Each routine has its own progressions and modifications to make the workout effective and accessible for each participant.
Mobility Flow is a set of well-being exercises, performing movements from the upper body to the legs in slow and deep, dynamic, rhythmic yet gentle sequences. The complex of exercises includes a connection to myofascial circuits. The aim is to keep the deep muscles engaged, improving mobility and flexibility by moving through all myofascial circuits. The class may include props such as a Pilates Ball, resistance bands, massage balls. The mobilising flow is great for releasing tension, reducing stress and clearing the mind.
